Discussion Forum Overview
The Discussion Forum Module is designed to support two way communications between a web site manager and the users of
the web site.
It uses the same three level security model as the other modules supplied by Dragon’s Grove.
Admin and Author levels can create channels, read and post items and read and post comments on the system. User level can
read items and read and post comments.
The elements are organized in a hierarchical system based on the RSS (Really Simple Syndication) format. The highest element is a channel. The channel is the subject of the forum and each channel will be the basis for an RSS feed. The Discussion Forum Module can support multiple channels. The next level within each channel is the item. There can be multiple items in a channel. Each item is listed in an RSS feed and creates a thread in which are posted comments. There can be one item and multiple comments in a thread.
